The power meter SICAM P50 from Siemens is a device that enables continuous measurement and logging of various energy related data. The SICAM P50 provides recording of mean values of all parameters, waveform capture, alarms and status information. The communication may be established over the protocols Profibus DP, ModBus RTU or IEC60870-5-103.

Configuration

Configuration files for the usage of the power meters within the District Units were already prepared. There are two different configuration files because not all power meters have the same current transformers at their input.

Power Meter Number Configuration file Documentation Remark
PM1 to PM4 siemens_simeas_p_par_sicam_p50_pm1-4_configuration_file.spd siemens_simeas_p_par_sicam_p50_pm1-4_description.pdf Current transformers with a ratio of 8 (primary:secondary)
PM5 siemens_simeas_p_par_sicam_p50_pm5_configuration_file.spd siemens_simeas_p_par_sicam_p50_pm5_description.pdf Current transformers with a ratio of 12 (primary:secondary)

Those configuration may be loaded into the devices with the tool Siemens SIMEAS P PAR.
