- Tested on ubuntu 16.04 64 bit, using MPLABX-4.05 and xc8-1.45
- Download MPLABX and XC8 compiler form the microchip website
- sudo apt-get install libexpat1:i386 libx11-6:i386 libxext6:i386 libstdc++6:i386
- cd /tmp
- tar xvf MPLABX-v4.05-linux-installer.tar
- sudo ./MPLABX-v4.05-linux-installer.sh
- Unplug your PIC board if any
- sudo service udev restart
- chmod +x xc8-v1.45-full-install-linux-installer.run
- sudo ./xc8-v1.45-full-install-linux-installer.run
