This is an internal R&D project in order to develop a unified development platform to use with various hardware.

The bus connectors are based on VME connectors. But many of the signals are adapted to meet our needs. The choosen bus interface has its dedicated site here.

The idea is to create a backplane for multiple platform to develop on. There is already the ADC_Rack and the FPGA_Rack board supporting the HES-SO VME Bus.

3 Rack type of boards are useful for us:

  • Rack backplane intended for a 19' Rack
  • Tabletop backplane for stacking the boards
  • Flat surface backplane for up to 3 boards
