This document explains how to setup the ARMEBS4 on your computer, the current versions used are:
- Eclipse Luna (4.4)
- gcc-arm-none-eabi - 4_8-2014q2-20140609-win32
- Openocd - 0.8.0
- MSYS - 1.0.11
- make - 3.8.1
- Zadig - 2.1.0
- ARMEBS4 drivers - 1.0.1.0
Prerequisites
- Get an ARMEBS4 Suitcase (ask someone from the ARMBES4 team
- Verify it's content:
- An ARMEBS4 board
- A USB cable (A -> micro B)
- Verify it's content:
- A computer
- With a 64 bit windows (Tested on 7)
- A USB port
- 1GByte free HDD space (on C:)
- You MUST have administrator right to run this setup
- Get the setup file ARMEBS4-WIN64-2014-09-05.zip
Setup
- unzip ARMEBS4-WIN64-XXX.zip to c:\Programs
- You MUST obtain c:\Programs\ARMEBS4\2014-09-05
- Don't use "C:\Program Files\", the space will cause problems
- Feel free to create a shortcut to c:\Programs\ARMEBS4\2014-09-05\start.bat on your desktop.
- Install the Java JDK (c:\Programs\ARMEBS4\2014-09-05\setup\jdk-8u20-windows-x64.exe)
- Follow the steps, there is no special destination requirements
Drivers
- Connect the ARMEBS4 board to the computer using the provided USB cable :
- The Connector is labelled "debug"
- The green PWR led should be lit
- Wait for automatic drivers installation fail
- Open the Device manager
- You should see 4 devices with a yellow warning symbol and a ARMEBS4 name :
- For each device do (-> 4 times) :
- right-click update driver software... > browse my computer > c:\Programs\ARMEBS4\2014-09-05\tools\drivers > > install this driver anyway
- Now you've got 3 usb serial ports (and don't ask me why there are only 3...)
- For each usb serial port with the warning do (-> 4 times) :
- right-click update driver software... > browse my computer > c:\Programs\ARMEBS4\2014-09-05\tools\drivers > > install this driver anyway
- run C:\Programs\ARMEBS4\2014-09-05\tools\zadig\zadig.exe
- options > show all
- select armebs4 v01 interface0
- select Winusb
- click on the big button "Replace Driver" or "Reinstall Driver"
