Gecko

Gecko is like the Chameleon a Parallelport Programmer and offers the same functions. However it works only on Xilinx Boards and isn't reporgrammable.

In order to install the Gecko proceed the same was as the Chameleon.

Amontec Parallel Port Programmer

Windows 7 The Chameleon doesn't work in Win7 machines initially. To let it work perform the following steps.

• Install Xilinx ISE of your choice, see versions here
• Install Amontec Driver Amontec Chameleon Driver
• Reinstall Jungo Drivers for Parallelport Programmers
  • Open Commandline
  • browse to your .../Xilinx/ISE_DS/ISE/bin/nt64 for 64bit machines or .../Xilinx/ISE_DS/ISE/bin/nt
  • Type wdreg -inf %cd%\windrvr6.inf uninstall
  • Type wdreg -inf %cd%\windrvr6.inf install
  • Type yes for the Jungo Driver installation
• DONE!

NOTE: In a 64bit system the programs placed in .../Xilinx/ISE_DS/ISE/bin/n64 have to be used.
